Changes to Regulation E & What They Mean for You

Beginning in July, all purchase and cash advance amounts made using your Southeast Financial VISA® Check Card, whether they are processed using you PIN or signature, will be put on hold until the item clears your account.

Because of this, you are better protected from inadvertently overdrawing your account and incurring overdraft fees. If you've ever made a $2 purchase with your debit card and later paid a $32 overdraft fee because the funds were not available at the time your transaction processed, we think you'll agree that the changes to Regulation E are a good thing.
